Petros Chamakiotis



Dr. Petros Chamakiotis is an Associate Professor of Management at ESCP Business School in Madrid, Spain, where he is also the Scientific Director of the MSc in Digital Project Management & Consulting. He currently chairs the IFIP Working Group 9.5 on ‘Our Digital Lives’ and holds a Visiting Senior Lectureship at the University of Sussex Business School, where he is also affiliated with the Digital Futures at Work Research Centre.

Petros is a qualitative researcher focusing on how digital technologies influence the practice of management. His research and teaching interests include the management of virtual teams, online communities, ubiquitous connectivity, digital (health) platforms, and the role of digital technologies in emergencies. His research appears mainly in information systems and management journals, as well as in practitioner outlets and the popular press. Some examples include: Information Systems Journal; International Journal of Information Management; New Technology, Work and Employment; Information Technology & People; and LSE Business Review.

A graduate of the University of Piraeus himself, Petros speaks English, Greek and Spanish fluently, and he has an intermediate knowledge of German.
